STOCKPILE SURVEYING UTEK offers land-based services as an alternative to expensive aerial surveys. These surveys can be performed using one or a combination of techniques. Advanced processing software is used to map contours and precisely calculate the Volume of material. Stockpile density testing can also be arranged.

Methodology
UTEK utilizes geo-referenced data sets coordinated and adjusted to State Plane coordinate systems via GPS. Then we utilize three different scanners depending on the need, site conditions, accuracy requirements and materials. (All work is conducted from the ground safely! No climbing piles or other dangerous activities.) We recognize the importance of precision, accuracy and cost effectiveness. It is with this mantra that we conduct our analysis and “paint” the object/s to be calculated with over 50,000 points (X,Y,Z) and take a 3-D image so that proper modeling utilizing TIN (triangular irregular networks) can be created and computed for a high degree of accuracy. We have capabilities for accuracy to be within 3%+/-. No other product on the market can duplicate this process or results. All work is stored in our server farm with off-site storage and protection. Plus all your data can be accessed from our website 24/7 – 365 days a year!
