- Geocoding: UTEK Aerial can help you create shape files or feature classes of your address data by using our enhanced geocoding processes. By using your table or database of addresses, we can create a map layer displaying all the addresses in Lat/Long Coordinates.

- DEM creation: DEM (Digital Elevation Models) can also be created using the DTM (Digital Terrain Model) from the compilation of any site. The DEM is often used to create surfaces such as TIN’s to be used for 3-D modeling.

Oblique Imagery
Digital Oblique Imagery refers to imagery that is from an angle of about 45 degrees from the side of an aircraft. A hand held camera is often used for this process but a much higher resolution image can be obtained by rolling the aircraft and using the special aerial photography camera used for photogrammetry. Oblique imagery provides an overall view of a site and can be plotted at a variety of scales for presentation purposes.
LiDAR Services
Light Detection and Ranging or LiDAR is an aerial sensor which uses push broom technology to scan the surface of the earth. LiDAR sends a light down to the earth which bounces back to the sensor at a rate of approximately 25,000 points per second and uses Air borne GPS to identify the location of the points in real world coordinates.
LiDAR is an effective tool to be able to create topographic maps of hard to reach areas or areas that are obscured by foliage and brush. LiDAR penetrates the leaf cover and is able to map the surface, but Planimetric features cannot be mapped using LiDAR. Therefore, we suggest a mixed product with photogrammetry to produce a complete product for your site.
